Speaker 1:
Good morning, everyone, and thanks for joining us for the opening of Wattle Creek Park.
Speaker 1:
This project has taken nearly two years, and we're thrilled to finally share it with the community.
Speaker 1:
Right behind me is the new adventure playground, which is designed for kids aged two to twelve.
Speaker 1:
Over to the left, you'll find two tennis courts and a basketball court, which are free to use.
Speaker 1:
Courts can be booked online for up to an hour at a time.
Speaker 1:
There are also six covered picnic areas with free barbecues, so bring the family along on the weekend.
Speaker 1:
We do ask that dogs are kept on a lead near the playground, and please take your rubbish home with you.
Speaker 1:
The park's open from six in the morning until nine at night, all year round.
Speaker 1:
Parking is available off Banksia Road, but it fills up quickly, so walking or cycling is a great option.
Speaker 1:
Have a look around, and we hope you all enjoy your new park.
